Linking communities and our future . . .

Buffalo’s Canalside and Cobblestone districts are more lively than they have been in generations. The best way to pay a visit is Metro Rail. As this area grows and develops, Metro will too, with this study as a guide. Take a look around, comment, follow us and help make Metro exactly the kind of transit this city needs.

Project Update

So here we are, almost to the end of the year and almost to the end of the study. We thought we'd give you a quick update on what we've been up to.

Last week, the study team and the Steering Committee met to review the progress to date which included presenting updated renderings of station options.

Yesterday at the Board of Commissioners meeting, Tom George, Director of Public Transit gave an update on the study.

And lastly, The Buffalo News posted this article today.

Although a formal decision hasn't been made, discussions have been leaning towards Alternative B (the riverfront option). Some folks haven't been shy about posting comments to today's article, and we'd love to hear your feedback here as well. So, take a look at the presentation, review the drawings and let us know what you think.

Over the next few weeks we'll choose an alternative to continue to develop and detail, identify environmental and permitting requirements, identify financing options and issue a final report.
